PAST EVENTS:

  • VIGIL AT CARDIN TOWNHALL MEETING

Outside the Student Union building, Women in Black greeted all the comings and goings before Congressman Cardin arrived. (Is it possible more students were going to the exercise center than planning to see the power point presentation on “US Policy in Iraq”???) We got lots of peace signs and agreeing nods. When one student received a PAQE (Albanian for peace) card, she was surprised. “What is this card?” she asked, “because this is my name.” WIB have met Irenes (Greek for peace) and Freds (Danish for peace), but this is the first time PAQE in person has come by our vigil.
